Description
1970 Topps Baseball Wax Box (5th, 6th, & 7th Series) with 24 Unopened Packs. This is a very pleasing offering as unopened 1970 Topps baseball wax boxes can be quite scarce. If asked, most would reply, "just once." Our special offering has also been identified as a later series box which will contain cards from the 5th, 6th and 7th (and final) series of the then massive 720 card promotion. Kids would have had to open a lot of packs, often fast and furious, as you closed in on the 717, 718, 719 and final card to complete your set. Ah, the good old days when baseball cards came ten at a time for just 10-cents.Our offered box is a beautiful, full box with all twenty-four packs housed inside! As a twilight and closing series box, the potential for Mint or Gem Mint examples of card #'s 461 Carl Yastrzemski (AS), 462 Hank Aaron (AS), 464 Johnny Bench (AS), 500 Hank Aaron, 502 Rollie Fingers, 510 Tony Oliva, 530 Bob Gibson, 537 Joe Morgan, 539 Larry Bowa (Rookie), 542 Checklist 547-633, 544 Cincinnati Reds Team, 555 Orlando Cepeda, 560 Gaylord Perry, 565 Catfish Hunter, 580 Pete Rose, 588 Checklist 634-720, 595 Maury Wills, 600 Willie Mays, 640 Al Kaline, 660 Johnny Bench, 670 Ron Santo, 683 Hal McRae (Rookie), 684 Jack Fisher, 685 Tom Haller, 700 Frank Robinson, 712 Nolan Ryan, 713 Seattle Pilots plus others is entirely possible. Auction Type
Signature Internet Extended Bid: These Auctions are presented via catalog and online. Bidding is taken through our website or via phone. There are two phases of bidding during this type of auction: 1) Normal bidding: Bids are taken up until 10 PM CT the night the auction closes. 2) 30 Minute Ending: On a lot-by-lot basis, starting at 10:00 PM CT, any person who has bid on the lot previously may continue to bid on that lot until there are no more bids for 30 minutes. For example, if you bid on a lot during Normal Bidding, you could participate during Extended Bidding for that lot, but not on lots you did not bid on previously. If a bid was placed at 10:15, the new end time for that lot would become 10:45. If no other bids were placed before 10:45, the lot would close. If you are the high bidder on a lot, changing your bid will not extend the bidding during the 30 Minute Ending phase (only a bid from another bidder will extend bidding). If you are the only bidder at 10 PM, you will automatically win the lot at 10:30. Important: After normal bidding ends, you must be signed-on to the Heritage site to see the bidding option on lots where you qualify for extended bidding and you must be on an individual lot page to reflect the accurate time remaining for that particular lot.
