    Description

1952 Topps "Giant-Size Baseball Cards" 5-Cent Retail Wax Box. Offered is a rarely seen counter display box of Topps baseball cards from 1952. If you could choose just one box to add to your collection, what would it be? After a brief moment focusing on the year you were born, or waxing sentimental about the year your child was born, you realize the answer is 1952. This was the set upon which an empire was built. It may have been their first major effort and many will debate it is still their finest. The tri-color box once housed 24 of the 5-cent wax packs. Inside could have been any number of HoFers and stars but we all know it is Mantle that we first think of. The box presents at the excellent-mint level with mild surface wear and here is light creasing. The top and bottom halves have been glued together making for a sturdy display. What a fantastic item to display with your 1952 collection.
