1926 W511 Anonymous Multi-Theme, Maroon Tint Partial Set (39 Different) - With Lindbergh, Our Gang, Jack Dempsey. The "W" class of cards are by far the most obscure and mysterious section covered by the American card Catalog. With little obvious advertising or any confirmed sponsorship their origins and in some cases new releases are slowly being revealed with every discovery of a new collection. They are as admired by their fans as they are detested by others. Regardless of your opinion, they are an important and fascinating addition to the hobby. This is probably the largest group of this elusive issue ever offered at auction. The cards are all 100% vintage and 100% authentic. The cards are all hand cut and are grade VR PR to GD as is, there are many rough cuts.
