1926-27 W512 Anonymous Baseball Players Near Set (8/10) Plus Cobb Variation. The "W" class of cards are by far the most obscure and mysterious section covered by the American card Catalog. With little obvious advertising or any confirmed sponsorship their origins and in some cases new releases are slowly being revealed with every discovery of a new collection. They are as admired by their fans as they are detested by others. Regardless of your opinion, they are an important and fascinating addition to the hobby. This auction is starting off with a selection of eleven different lots of "W" cards showcasing both sports and non-sports subjects. This presentation includes:1926-27 W512 Anonymous Baseball Players Near Set (8/10) Plus Cobb Variation. Includes: #'s 1 Bancroft (PR), 2 Alexander (PR), 3 Cobb/EX-Mgr. (FR), 3 Cobb/Detroit A.L. (GD), 4 Speaker (VG/EX), 5 Wright (FR), 7 Scott (EX o/c), 8 Frisch (VG), 9 Hornsby (GD, pencil) and 10 Vance (GD).
The cards are all 100% vintage and 100% authentic. The cards are all hand cut and are grade above as is.
