1925 Exhibits Lou Gehrig Rookie SGC 30 Good 2. It's nearly impossible for a modern collector, who's been brought up in an environment of securely wrapped packs and boxes, plastic top-loads and, in general, careful handling of one's cards, to grasp the extent of difficulty in locating certain cards from the 1920's. One such card that poses an extremely daunting challenge is the 1925 Exhibits card featuring Henry "Lou" Gehrig which is his highly coveted rookie card debut! The battle to find one starts with the low supply of this scarce Exhibit year, the second being the fact that once in a collection, this card stays in that collection.

Offered is a very nice example that shows some gentle rounding of the corners, no creases, no wrinkles, no surface loss, soiling or stains. It takes some effort to discover that along the top of the reverse is the faint remnants of previous pencil notation which is the only reason we see for the SGC rating. Graded SGC 30 Good 2. From a total population of only twenty, this is one of three in Good with nine higher. This card is certainly one of the most coveted additions to any vintage card collection.
