1924 Aguilitas Cigars John Henry "Pop" Lloyd #846 SGC 30 Good 2. Offered is a significant and very scarce card that represents the first opportunity Heritage has had to offer to our bidders. This unassuming card from the 1924-25 Aguilitas Cigars series features Hall of Famer John Henry "Pop" Lloyd. Any card featuring Lloyd is considered a significant and are among the most treasured in the hobby. The name simply reads "Joe" but the face is unmistakably the legendary Hall of Famer. This is one of less than ten cards to feature Lloyd during his 26 year career. He has been called the greatest baseball talent of all-time. Lloyd batted .340 lifetime who flirted or surpassed the exalted .400 mark over a half dozen times. A comparison Honus took as a compliment. He was finally elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977. This rarity is graded SGC 30 Good 2 for issues affecting the reverse. There are only nine on record with SGC. Any condition issue fail to affect the central portrait. A strong example that presents far nicer than the technical assessment.
