Description

1921 E253 Oxford Confectionary Frankie Frisch PSA EX 5 - Pop One, One Higher! Frank Frisch was a key ingredient of the success enjoyed by "The Gashouse Gang" in St. Louis in the 1930's. The Cards had only won one pennant in the 20th Century ('26 World Champs) before Frisch joined them in 1927. They would win four pennants over the next eight seasons. Upon retirement, The Fordham Flash earned a .316 lifetime BA (the highest ever for a switch hitter), 2,880 hits, over 1,200 RBI and had stolen over 400 bases. For switch-hitters, only Murray and Rose had more. Offered is one of the more obscure Frisch card collectible of the 1920's. Graded PSA EX 5. This is the only card at this grade level, there is just one graded higher, from a total population of only thirteen.
