1920 D327 Holsum Bread Rogers Hornsby SGC 50 VG/EX 4 - Highest Graded of Only Two SGC Examples! It is understandable why the D327 Holsum Bread series was considered nothing more than a back variation to the E121 American Caramel. Thanks to new finds, unique subjects and poses were discovered rightfully bringing to light the fact this is a distinct issue with a 1920 not 1921 issue date. Offered is a key HoF appearance - Rogers Hornsby of the St. Louis Cardinals - in one of his earlier card appearances. A faint wrinkle along part of the top border and a couple light surface scratches are the lone condition notes aside from some modest corner wear. It is a key card for any Hornsby specialist and just a very nice card for the grade. Not to mention the pride of owning a card very few hobbyists can say they have in their collection. Graded SGC 50 VG/EX 4, this is the highest graded card from a total SGC population of only two!Auction Info
