1920 Babe Ruth "Headin' Home" Theatre Cards - Follow Through, Bat to Left SGC Authentic.
This auction features a trio of this larger and extremely rare variety! The cards were a promotional give-away announcing the arrival of the famous film starring a young star for the New York Yankees and the silver screen - Babe Ruth. Backs can be blank or feature advertising for various movie houses. This is one of two cards in this auction with an ad for the Metropolitan Opera House promoting the movie and Del Deibert's Broadway Jazz Boys. This card has been hand cut and measures 1-5/8 x 2-7/8." The front offers a youthful Bambino catalogued as his "Follow Through, Bat to Left" pose. Aside from the cut, there is a lone crease and a spot stain to note. Encapsulated SGC Authentic, one of only two reviewed by SGC, both with the same assessment.
