1916 M101-4 Sporting News Honus Wagner #182 PSA Mint 9 - Pop One, None Higher! As was baseball's other great talent - Nap Lajoie - Honus Wagner was at the end of his legendary career in 1916 and it must have felt like the end of an era of sorts. Like Lajoie, his career crossed the century but would live on in the hearts of baseball fans for another century and beyond. Of course Wagner is one of the key entries in the M101-4 series, after all he was baseball's premier shortstop and a lifetime .328 hitter. Knowing retirement comes to us all, this is not your usual batting pose, but one where "Hans" looks like he is practicing his golf swing, a game many retirees will pick up.

Graded PSA Mint 9. A census topper ranking as the only card graded MINT with none rated higher! With submissions approaching the 3,000 level, the PSA census shows just three cards graded MINT for the entire M101-4 series. If we must be critical, the vertical centering is slightly low of center.
