1915 Cracker Jack Smokey Joe Wood #22 PSA Mint 9 - Pop Three, None Higher. Smoky Joe Wood made his MLB debut in 1908 for the Boston Red Sox. He would pitch for the Sox until 1915. While in Boston his highest... highest ERA was 2.62 with a low of 1.49. His career year was 1912 when he won 34 games while losing only five. His ERA was 1.91, and was responsible for adding 258 Ks to batters stats. He became one of just thirteen pitchers to win 30 or more games, winning 34 that year only to continue his success in the World Series. Wood went 3-1 tying Christy Mathewson for most wins in the fall classic on an uncharacteristic 4.50 ERA. Mint all-around and slightly oversized. Graded PSA Mint 9. One of only three in MINT. None have rated higher.
