1915 Cracker Jack Grover Alexander #37 PSA NM-MT 8 - Only Two Higher. Offered is merely the second-year appearance of one of the all-time greats. A 300 Game Winner and Hall of Famer but also a troubled legend who suffered from epilepsy and post-traumatic stress from World War I horrors. Neither could curtail one of the most remarkable pitching careers in baseball history. A marvel on the mound earning a place within the Hall of Fame's inaugural class. A brilliant athlete who succumbed to his personal demons after leaving the limelight down an unfortunate path that ultimately led to an ignominious passing in a Nebraska boarding house in 1950. He is most famous for striking out Tony Lazzeri with two outs in the bottom of the seventh and the bases full the '26 World Series. Alexander was roused to enter the game in relief to protect a three to two Cardinals lead. Our offered card can stand as a crowning touch for an advanced vintage collection. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. Pop sixteen in NM/MT with two higher from a total pop of eighty.
