1915 Cracker Jack Ed Walsh #36 PSA Mint 9 - Pop Three, None Higher. One of the Dead Ball Era's premier hurlers, the big right-hander Walsh posted an eye-popping forty and fifteen record for the Chicago White Sox in 1908, drawing a bit of attention from the crosstown Cubs who were enjoying what would prove to be their last World Championship season for the century to come. When this card appeared Ed was coming off a 40-win 1908 season. From 1906 to 1912 there was no greater workhorse than Walsh. Over the six season he averaged 24 wins and a remarkable 1.71 ERA. It would be easy to criticize his 20 losses in 1910 until one sees his ERA was a miniscule 1.27.

Graded PSA Mint 9. One of only three in MINT. None have rated higher. Offered is a pack fresh example of his 1915 Cracker Jack card. Stand-out features include very clean, very white borders which stand out even within this quality assembly. Four well-defined corners encompass a flawless portrait aided by a just as flawless surface. Since there are few "Mint" choices for Walsh fans so you might as well make it count.
