Description

1915 Cracker Jack Charles Comiskey #23 PSA NM-MT 8. The career of Charlie Comiskey dates back to 1882. He was first immortalized on the popular card issues of the late 1880's when he was a star first baseman for the St. Louis Browns. His baseball infamy though came when "Commy" was the owner of White Sox as he is depicted within this popular issue dating to just four years before his team, blaming his frugal ways, committed the game's greatest sin. The Hall of Fame executive gazes into the distance toward that unhappy future, and yet a future that left this condition rarity virtually untouched by the judgmental hands of scandal or simply the passing of time. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of thirteen in NM-MT. Only four have rated higher.
