Description
1914 T222 Fatima Walter Johnson SGC 40 VG 3. The key to this challenging series! Standing shoulder to shoulder next to the names Cobb, Wagner and Jackson is the Washington Senators' mound master Walter Johnson. So accomplished at his craft, Johnson was one of the first five players to be inducted into Baseball's Hall of Fame in 1936. Our offered real-photo card is his entry from the T222 Fatima Players series of 1914. The set is as condition sensitive as it it is difficult to assemble a complete set which is why this is such a special presentation as it is part of a complete 52-card set being made available over four different lots. which was one of the more ambitious sports premium promotions for the era. The seemingly inevitable creases are present but at a minimum. Graded SGC 40 VG 3. SGC has only graded a grand total of twelve examples as noted on their census. This is one of only two graded VG with none higher.Auction Info
