1914 Cracker Jack Walter Johnson #57 PSA NM-MT 8 (OC). Next to names Cobb, Wagner and Jackson is Washington Senators' mound master Walter Johnson. Johnson was a tall and unassuming sight on the mound... until he threw his fastball. It seems all that batters could hope for is hearing the ball smack against the catcher's mitt as it zipped past them because seeing the ball wasn't an easy task for even the keenest eyes of the best hitters of the era. The offered example has all the qualifications of a very well preserved card including high quality corners. Graded PSA NM-MT 8 (OC), the surfaces are bright and clean, the colors are vibrant and fresh. His full-figure portrait grabs your attention, even if it does rest to the right of center. A key entry and among the top 100 cards of the hobby. Total PSA pop is 44 (w/qualified), this is the only card to earn a "NM-MT" grade, qualified or not, there are none higher.
