    Population one of one!

    1912 T202 Hassan Ty Cobb Steals Third Cobb/Moriarity PSA NM-MT+ 8.5.
It is the most famous image ever set to photographic paper for both the artist and the subject, perhaps the single most recognizable to emerge from the sport's Dead Ball Era. The technological limitations of early twentieth century photography restricted most lensmen of the day from even attempting to capture game action, but the masterful Charles Conlon was able to coax perfect clarity from the churning aggression of Ty Cobb's assault on third base. The offered trading card represents the most significant of its period utility.

Like the image itself, this T202 representation finds no challengers for supremacy, a spectacularly well-preserved slab of cardboard that stands alone at the top of the PSA population. The Georgia Peach and his Tigers teammate George Moriarity frame the action shot of the former in bright and sharply registered color, the three separate images perfectly framed between even borders and sharp corners. Consider the fact that only four examples of over ten thousand submissions from the entirety of the T202 issue have ever graded higher and you'll begin to get proper perspective upon the rarity and significance of this special offering.
