    Description

1912 E136 Home Run Kisses Dave Bancroft (HoF) SGC 20 Fair 1.5. The "Home Run Kisses" roster would only be recognizable to the more passionate scholars of the history of our National Pastime. One name does stand out - Dave Bancroft. "Beauty" started his career in 1909 in the Minnesota-Wisconsin League, making it to the Big Show in 1915. The talented infielder served as player and manager until 1930 for the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Giants, Boston Braves and Brooklyn Robins. He also coached/managed for the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League.

Offered is one of his pre-rookie cards from 1912 when he played for the Portland Beavers. The E136 "Home Run Kisses" series by the Collins-McCarthy Candy Company is the more decorative counterpart to the "Zeenut" series. Graded SGC 20 Fair 1.5 for corner wear, creases and "1912" noted in ink on the reverse. The same surface displays the "Bardell Sepia, San Francisco" logo.
