    Description

1911 T205 Sovereign Walter Johnson SGC NM+ 86 - One of The Finest In an SGC Holder! The twenty-three year old Kansas fireballer had yet to notch his 100th of 417 career wins at the time this gorgeous card was issued. Offered is an exceptionally high-grade specimen from one of tobacco's most picturesque sets and come to us from a find of remarkable cards from Endicott, NY. As is typical for cards from this pedigreed find, the player portraits area is beyond reproach thanks to exceptional color quality and brilliant gold metallic frames. Front and back surfaces are remarkably clean. Hints of wear appear at the very outer tips and are generally seen with the aid of magnification. Of the unspecified brands, this is far and away the highest graded example as the second runner-up is a lone "Ex+." Graded SGC 86 NM+ 7.5 with no reason to debate that assessment. This is nothing short of a fantastic example of one of Walter Johnson's most attractive card collectibles.
