Description

1911 T205 Polar Bear Ed Walsh PSA NM-MT 8 - The Highest Graded Example Known! One of the Dead Ball Era's premier hurlers, the big right-hander Walsh posted an eye-popping forty and fifteen record for the Chicago White Sox in 1908, drawing a bit of attention from the crosstown Cubs who were enjoying what would prove to be their last World Championship season for the century to come. When this card appeared Ed was coming off a 40-win 1908 season. If not for sub-par 1909 and 1910 seasons who knows how many other appearances he may have been honored with. Since there is but one choice for Walsh fans you might as well make it count.

Graded PSA NM-MT 8. Offered is a pack fresh example of his T205 Gold Border card with a "Polar Bear" ad on the reverse. Beautiful colors, a deep rich gold frame, precise centering and a pair of "minty" corners await the new owner of this condition rarity. An exceptional example awaiting its place in a premier T205 assembly. Only one-half of one-percent of the well over 36,000 T205 cards graded by PSA hold this or a more lofty assessment.
