1911 D310 Pacific Coast Biscuit Buck Weaver SGC 20 Fair 1.5 - New to The Hobby. This example is from a collection unknown to the hobby for over a century. The 1919 Black Sox gambling scandal is certainly one of the most unfortunate events of pour National Pastime but the eight men banned, particularly Joe Jackson, have a huge following among collectors. This auction is a practical treasure trove featuring multiple cards of "Black Sox" member Buck Weaver from a collection never offered before. You will find a few of Weaver's rarest cards. Offered is his 1911 D310 Pacific Coast Biscuit card issued when Weaver was a San Francisco Seal of the Pacific Coast League. There are some players with Major League experience but Weaver is by far the key player in this series. The large 2-1/2 x 4-1/4" card has been graded SGC 20 Fair 1.5. One of only eight total examples graded by SGC.
