    Description

1911-14 D304 Brunners Bread Christy Mathewson SGC 40 VG 3. Choosing to focus on the dynamics of his throwing motion and the aura of his on-field determination, this sought-after and rare D304 Brunners Bread insert leaves aside the more pedestrian Christy Mathewson portrayals of the era. The commonly seen depictions that accompanied tobacco, for example, were more apt to focus on his "All-American" matinee-idol facial features than the athletic form responsible for the authorship of 373 career wins and a pair of pitching's Triple Crowns. This specimen has retained possession of a fresh-looking appearance thanks to a vibrant, unimpeded illustration. A short wrinkle in the upper left and another at the lower left corner account for the grade. Graded SGC 40 VG 3. One of a trio rated VG with eight higher. There are hundreds of T206 Mathewson cards on record, this is one of a total population of just sixteen.
