Description

1910 E98 "Set of 30" Fred Clark (Red) "Black Swamp Find" PSA NM-MT 8. Take a look and remember... this is the "lowest" quality level for Clarke.

More Information:

1910 E98 "Set of 30" Black Swamp Find - #16 on the PSA Set Registry - 6.59 Grade Average!

The "Black Swamp" find and the task of auctioning the collection were unprecedented in the hobby. The game plan was to sell the best-of-the-best of the over twenty complete sets of player/color combinations first, amid much fanfare, and continue until the lowest-graded set was ready to be auctioned. In Black Swamp language, "lowest" is a relative term. Feedback by many was to wait until this last set came to auction thinking they would represent the best bargain. Heritage has decided to call a quarterback sneak of sorts by offering that set now, the lowest Black Swamp set generating a grade average of 6.59. To put that in perspective, that average is a full grade and a half over the #1 pre-Black Swamp E98 registered set. As you view the lots that follow, you will have to remind yourself more than a few times that, yes, these stunning cards are the bottom of that nearly pristine barrel, your best chance at a budget-friendly purchase from the greatest hobby find of recent memory.
