    Description

1910 E93 Standard Caramel Honus Wagner SGC 60 EX 5. From the inception of the National League Wagner dominated. He led the league in hitting eight times, in steals five times, and in slugging average six times. He hit over .300 17 times and would eventually play every position except catcher. He is also high on the all-time stolen-base, triples, and hits lists. After winning the batting title in 1909, he was pitted against the Tigers and Ty Cobb, the AL batting champ, in the 1909 World Series. With Wagner refusing the use of his picture on tobacco sponsored insert cards he does appear in the all but a few caramel/candy issues of the era. We offer one of the best-known Caramel cards in the business-the E93 Standard Caramel card. The colors remain outstanding and the image is nicely centered. There is light wear at corners and no creases, no wrinkles or any surface loss. A rock solid excellent card of a baseball legend.
