Description
1910 D322 Tip-Top Bread Honus Wagner SGC 40 VG 3. While the issue may not be familiar to the casual collector, the image most assuredly is. It's an artful remaining of Carl Horner's definitive photographic portrait, the same image utilized for the creation of the short-printed T206 tobacco card which serves as the hobby's most coveted and valuable card. Wagner was at the time the undisputed leading star of the Steeltown squad, when circulated his cards would be more susceptible to wear from trading and handling. Offered is a very nice example with no impactful detrimental flaws. Graded SGC 40 VG 3. What we have is essentially an "excellent" card with a vertical crease down the center of he card. Just over thirty-one Tip Top Wagner cards have found a home in a SGC capsule. There are six cards graded VG with seven graded higher.Auction Info
