Description

1910-11 M116 Sporting Life Honus Wagner (Blue Background) PSA VG-EX 4. Honus Wagner, often regarded as one of the greatest shortstops in baseball history, played for the Pittsburgh Pirates during a career that spanned 21 seasons from 1897 to 1917. Known for his impressive hitting, Wagner won eight batting titles, a record in the National League for most in a career. He was one of the first five players inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936, highlighting his monumental impact on the sport.

The M116 Sporting Life card set features the photographic portraits of Carl Horner. Horner's portrait of "Hans" is, of course, "the" Wagner image so well known to those both in the hobby and around the world. Our offered Sporting Life card is the scarcer "Blue Background" variation and has a gorgeous image of Wagner. Wagner's importance extends beyond his playing career, as his legacy influences market values and collector interest across generations, underscoring his lasting impact on the hobby. Graded PSA VG-EX 4. Fewer than forty-five examples have been graded by PSA!
