    Description

1909-11 T206 Sweet Caporal Hal Chase (Portrait, Blue Background) PSA NM-MT 8 - Pop Two, None Higher. Slick fielding first baseman Hal Chase, known as "Prince Hal" for his ability to charm, was anything but princely. After charges of bribes, bets and throwing games, Chase, in 1925, tried to start a league in Mexico where he owned a cafe. American League president Ban Johnson knew the president of Mexico and had him deported back to the United States. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of two examples in NM-MT with none higher.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
