    Description

1909-11 T206 Sweet Caporal 350/30 Ty Cobb (Bat Off Shoulder) PSA NM 7 - Pop Four, Only Two Higher With This Brand & Series. In 1910, the date of this card's debut, Ty Cobb was about to embark on one of the greatest 10-year spans of any player who ever played the game. His league-leading numbers that season are staggering: .383 average, 194 hits, 35 doubles, 13 triples, 91 RBIs and 65 stolen bases simply set the stage for Detroit fans! Despite his vicious temperament that likely kept him out of the running for other seasons, the American League had no choice but to crown him Most Valuable Player in 1911. Look closely at the image of the Peach, painted close to a century ago, and you can see it in his eyes. Today, this is considered one of the finest portraits in the long and impressive history of baseball card art.

Offered is a 1909-11 T206 card featuring Ty Cobb "Bat Off Shoulder" variant with a "Sweet Caporal - 350 Subjects" ad with a factory 30 caption. Overall, PSA has graded over 1,000 cards. Our offered card is graded PSA NM 7. There are less than 100 confirmed with this brand/series/factory combination. This is one of only four graded NM with just two graded higher.
