Description

1909-11 T206 Sweet Caporal 150 Rube Waddell (Portrait) PSA NM 7 - Pop One, None Higher! Offered is a 1909-11 T206 White Border tobacco card featuring HoF pitcher Rube Waddell with the St. Louis Browns. Rube pitched for 13 seasons with his career starting in the 19th century and ending the in 1910 making this one of his final cards. It stands as a pretty classy send-off for the man who had quite a quirky personality. He retired with almost 200 wins and a lifetime ERA of 2.16. The reverse displays a "Sweet Caporal - 150 Subjects" advertisement. This card is his "Portrait" pose. This is one of two poses/portraits in the series. Only a very small percentage of the total T206 population, which is approaching 286,000 submissions are graded NM or higher. This featured collection is characterized by bold, rich colors, bright white borders and high-quality corners with either slightly less than or precise centering. You could but probably won't find higher quality inks. Graded PSA NM 7. Total submissions for this player/pose have reached the six hundred+ plateau. This is one of sixty-one examples confirmed for this player/brand/pose/factory combination and the only card graded NM with six higher!
