    Description

1909-11 T206 Sweet Caporal 150/30 Willie Keeler (With Bat) PSA NM-MT 8. Profound words do inspire but at times simplicity works too. When asked for his philosophy on hitting, "Wee Willie" Keeler once said, "Hit 'em where they ain't." Who would argue with one of the game's early great batters. The 5'4" and 140 lb. dynamo practiced what he preached, registering batting averages of .424 in 1897 and .385 in 1898 and it took eighty years for another great hitter, Pete Rose, to tie Keeler's 1897 NL mark of 44 consecutive games with a hit in 1978. The only critique we can find is the slightest evidence of wear at corner tips. Remarkable colors resonate via the crisply detailed portrait. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. The overall total PSA pop is under 700 submissions (w/any qualified). Just under 150 have been confirmed with a Sweet Caporal brand back while only twenty-five are confirmed with this brand/series/factory combo. A "Pop One With None Higher!" title holder.
