    Description

1909-11 T206 Sweet Caporal 150/30 Mordecai Brown (Portrait) PSA NM-MT 8 - Pop Two, None Higher With This Brand/Series/Factory Combination. Offered is a 1909-11 T206 card featuring Mordecai Brown "Portrait" variant with a "Sweet Caporal - 150 Subjects" ad with a factory 30 caption. A childhood farming accident proved to ultimately be a blessing in disguise for the future Hall of Fame honoree. "That old paw served me pretty well in its time," Brown once said of the injured hand that earned him the "Three Finger" nickname. It seems his injury allowed him to have a firmer grip on the ball which as he claimed gave him a greater dip." From 1904 to 1912, all with the Chicago Cubs, Brown would average 21-9 W-L record with an ERA of 1.83.

Everything about this card says, "quality." Overall, PSA has graded almost 500 cards. Our offered card is graded PSA NM-MT 8. Overall, there are seven in NM-MT with none higher. There are just over 25 confirmed with this brand/series/factory combination. This is one of only two graded NM-MT with none graded higher.
