1909-11 T206 Sovereign 350 Ty Cobb (Bat On Shoulder) PSA EX-MT 6. Shortly before his passing in 1961, Ty Cobb supposedly wrote, "I am a sadistic, slashing, swashbuckling despot who waged war in the guise of sport." The truth, of course, is somewhat more complex than that, but this greatest figure of the Dead Ball Era was unquestionably the most determined ballplayer of his time (and perhaps of all time). Every great ballplayer's yin will have its yang--for Lou Gehrig, his unwillingness to rest but for Cobb it was the his gritted teeth fervor to breaking every record in the books as he did to breaking the jaws of those who disrespected him. Offered is his T206 card featuring his "Bat On Shoulder" pose with a "Sovereign 350 Subjects" ad on the reverse. Graded PSA EX-MT 6. Only forty-nine (w/any qualified) are confirmed with the Sovereign brand from the over 900 graded by PSA, only fourteen are confirmed with a 350 subjects back.
