Description1909-11 T206 Sovereign 350 Sam Crawford (Throwing) PSA NM-MT 8 - Pop One, None Higher for Brand! Offered is a T206 card featuring Sam Crawford (Throwing) with a "Piedmont 150 Subjects" ad on the reverse. "Wahoo Sam" Crawford was the star of the Detroit Tigers when a young talent made the team with the name "Cobb." Ty would become the center of attention at the time but Crawford is still widely remembered for being one of the greatest hitters of that era. Despite their differences, dead-ball era pitchers facing the Cobb-Crawford one-two punch was a quite the challenge. Between 1910 and 1915, Crawford led the league in triples four times and RBIs three times. The offered T206 featuring his "Throwing" pose is one of the finest on record. Very clean and bright. The back displays "Sovereign - 350 Subjects" ad. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. Counting all brands, this is one of five in NM-MT with none higher from a total PSA pop of over 500 submissions. Only thirty-four (w/any qualified) are confirmed with the Sovereign brand. This is a "Pop One With None Higher!" title holder for this brand!
