1909-11 T206 Sovereign 150 Johnny Evers (Portrait) PSA NM-MT 8 - Pop Ten, None Higher! Few vintage cards are capable of enlivening a collection in the manner brought about by the introduction of a top-quality T206. If the card happens to feature the portrait of Johnny Evers as its subject, the satisfaction is even more pronounced. Of the entire roster of T206 portraits, Evers, with the distinct Green background is among the most striking depictions! Evers' penetrating gaze on this marvelously well-conceived insert commands special reverence as it challenges in authority the stern glare of the Georgia Peach himself. It is a one-hundred-plus year old classic that boasts enduring appeal. Our offered example rests in a state of preservation that will undoubtedly inspire fascination for yet another century.

Graded PSA NM-MT 8. Among the hundreds of copies of this depiction validated by PSA, there are none at the NM/MT+ to gem Mint levels. On the face of this abundantly praiseworthy specimen, Evers's visage projects with almost startling clarity, and the brightness of his memorable surrounding has remained completely unblemished by time. Unforgiving examination would be needed to expose mostly non-existent faults. Graphics are close to perfection, there is a whisper of wear at corners, if that. The back displays a "Sovereign - 150 Subjects" ad which is noted just seventeen times from a total population now well over 600 submissions. Overall, this is one of ten in NM-MT with none higher and one of two in NM-MT with none higher for the Sovereign brand An amazing example paired with a scarcer brand - can't wish for much more than that.
