    Description

1909-11 T206 Piedmont Ty Cobb, Red Portrait SGC 30 Good 2 - Name At Top/Bottom. In the course of printing and processing thousands of sheets of baseball cards it stands to reason there will be a hiccup or two along the way. Usually these errors don't see circulation but a small percentage made it past quality control. In the last half decade, collecting these cards with printing or processing errors have become very popular. When the card is question is the classic "red portrait" of Ty Cobb and it is bound to generate some interest. Offered is a solid mid-grade copy with a terrific portrait measuring 1-1/2" x 2-5/8." A miscut has resulted in his name showing partially along the bottom and along the top of the card. Graded SGC 30 Good 2, the back is a Piedmont 350-460 Subjects Factory 42 4th Dist. N.C. reverse.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
