Description

1909-11 T206 Piedmont Eddie Plank PSA Authentic. From the famed Barry Halper collection we offer one of the most recognized missing color print errors in the hobby. The T206 Eddie Plank is frequently compared to the famed Honus Wagner of the same issue due to its rarity and value. We do know there are approximately the same number of Planks as there are Wagners in the hobby. The offered authentic card of Plank has a wonderful sense of serenity to the partially printed portrait of the Philadelphia A's ace hurler. The card is missing both the orange hues normally associated in his face and the distinctive blue color background we are all familiar with. This 100% authentic but hand cut rarity is in Good condition with a few light creases and an irregular cut which confirms explains the "trimmed" qualifier. The "Piedmont-150 Subjects" series brand reverse displays very nicely with one spot stain of note. Encapsulated as Authentic by PSA, this enviable collectible provides a marvelous, relatively affordable solution for an advanced, but currently Plank-less, T206 collection.
