Description
1909-11 T206 Piedmont Christy Mathewson (Dark Cap) PSA EX-MT 6. A member of Cooperstown's inaugural class, Mathewson won at least 30 games in a season four times during his storied career. This "Dark Cap" pose is centered a little high and to the left. Very mild corner wear is seen and quickly forgiven thanks to the refreshing hues that stand out when surrounded by a clean frosty white frame. We should add the illustration is blemish free and precisely registered. A very nice example for the grade and for the century old T206 tobacco issue. If a high-end Mathewson is on your want list, this card does more than just fill a void. The reverse displays a "Piedmont - 350-460 Subjects" with a Factory 25 designation.
