Description
1909-11 T206 Piedmont 350 Joe Doyle (N.Y.-Hands Above Head) PSA NM-MT 8 - Pop Three, None Higher. The tale of two Doyle's. There are four cards in the T206 with the name "Doyle" and "N. Y." At one (extremely brief) time, all four of them read "Natl." in the caption. It was very early on that this card, the "Hands Over Head" portrait was meant to be Joe Doyle with the Highlanders so instead of stopping the presses they deleted the "Natl." from this card thus creating one of the top ten rarest cards in the hobby. The back displays "Piedmont - 350 Subjects" advertising with a factory 30 caption. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. With a Piedmont reverse, this is the highest graded example on record with PSA. Counting all brands, this is still one of only three known in NM-MT with none higher.View Certification and Population Details from PSA
