1909-11 T206 Piedmont 350-460/25 Zack Wheat PSA NM-MT+ 8.5 - The Finest T206 Wheat Known! Zack Wheat began his professional league career in 1907 with the Fort Worth Panthers of the Texas League. Born in Hamilton, Missouri, Zachariah Davis Wheat was a rare baseball player of Native American decent in early 20th century baseball. His father was English and his mother was full-blooded Cherokee Indian. His rookie debut came in 1909 when he signed with the Brooklyn Superbas. It was a relationship that lasted until 1926. The 31 hits he collected for the 1909 squad would reach the 2,884 level when he retired in 1927 as one of the most consistent batters of his era. His lifetime batting average was .317 with 1,248 RBI so it comes as no surprise Hall of Fame honors came in 1959.Graded PSA NM-MT+ 8.5. Currently, PSA had reviewed almost 650 cards. This is a "Pop One with None Higher!" title holder. Offered is an absolutely fantastic card featuring Zack with a "Piedmont - 350-460 Subjects" advertising reverse and a factory 25 caption. What a striking card with not a speck or blemish out of place. Corners are all "minty" if not undeniably mint.
