    Description

1909-11 T206 Piedmont 150 Willie Keeler (With Bat) PSA Mint 9 - Pop Four, None Higher! Profound words do inspire but at times simplicity works too. When asked for his philosophy on hitting, "Wee Willie" Keeler once said, "Hit 'em where they ain't." Who would argue with one of the game's early great batters. The 5'4" and 140 lb. dynamo practiced what he preached, registering batting averages of .424 in 1897 and .385 in 1898 and it took eighty years for another great hitter, Pete Rose, to tie Keeler's 1897 NL mark of 44 consecutive games with a hit in 1978. Keeler makes two appearances in the T206 series, an official portrait card and this one that depicts him "With Bat" for which he was so successful with.

Graded PSA Mint 9. Counting all brands, this is one of four in MINT with none higher. Exceptional quality exists from top to bottom and from left to right. Every bell and whistle that one dreams of seeing in a vintage card is present and accounted for. The corners all rest within the "mint" to "gem mint" range. The back displays "Piedmont - 150 Subjects" advertising with a Factory 25 caption. The printing of the reverse is just as strong as is the obverse.
