Description

1909-11 T206 Piedmont 150 Addie Joss (Portrait) PSA Mint 9 - Pop Three, None Higher! Addie Joss made his professional debut in the 1902 season. During his nine-year career, Joss had three seasons in which he won more than twenty games, for five of those seasons he recorded an ERA under 2.00. Joss appeared in 286 games (45 were shutouts) before his career came to an abrupt end in April 1911 when he succumbed to tuberculosis meningitis. His almost formal portrait here is the work of renowned baseball photographer Carl Horner. Presented is one of the most noteworthy examples thereof, a card with one equal but has yet to be and probably never will be bested.

Graded PSA Mint 9. Counting all brands, this is one of only three in MINT with none higher. Exceptional on both the physical and visual scales. Colors are deep and inviting. The sliver difference in horizontal centering is the lone element deserving a "perfect" accounting. It comes as no surprise all four corners are wholly mint. The back displays "Piedmont - 150 Subjects" advertising with a Factory 25 caption. Joss is a Hall of Fame member of special regard. This is befitting tribute as part of the most historically significant productions in the hobby and now your collection.
