Description

1909-11 T206 Broad Leaf 460 Johnny Evers (With Bat-Chicago) PSA Good 2 - Only Two Graded Examples for Brand/Series! There were few Dead Ball infielders more skilled with the leather than this pivot man for the game's most famous double play combination. The slightly-built but temperamental Evers was nicknamed "The Crab" for the way he sidled up to grounders, cementing his place in baseball history. Evers had identical .350 World Series averages in 1907 and 1908, knocking in the winning run in the fifth and final game. Evers earned a trio of cards in the T206 series. His portrait card has taken on iconic status but it is this card - his "With Bat-Chicago on Shirt" pose that T206 enthusiasts have found to be the most visually pleasing of the Evers entries. The "Broad Leaf - 460 Subjects" brand reverse makes this one of the most pleasing and rare Evers cards of any brand/series designation combination.

Graded PSA Good 2. His "With Bat-Chicago Jersey" variant that is famous for the blending from the warm yellow sky to a cool green grass. Our offered example is an attractive card with pleasing corner quality. The blemish-free central portrait is surrounded by a clean white border. Overall, there are over 1,000 entries on the PSA census. Only five are confirmed with a Broad leaf back. Only two are confirmed with a BL 460 combination reverse.
