1909-11 T206 American Beauty 350-With Frame Christy Mathewson (Dark Cap) PSA EX-MT+ 6.5 - The Highest Graded AB 350! It is so nice to say that after 110 years we still have stunning examples of T206 cards that have survived so nicely, usually to not being handled with any regularity. We all know the legend that is Christy Mathewson. A quick look at this "Dark Cap" variant we immediately see the deepest hues of the background sky and field which beautiful compliment the vivid white in his uniform. The precise centering is also a nice touch. Corners show modest wear both to the naked eye and under magnification. For the condition specialist, this is one of the finest confirmed examples with any brand aside from Piedmont and Sweet Caporal and takes the highest graded honor among cards with the scarce encountered "American Beauty" advertising.Graded PSA EX-MT+ 6.5. Currently, PSA has graded over 1,400 examples featuring Christy Mathewson (Dark Cap) but only eleven are confirmed with an "American Beauty - 350 Subjects" ad with decorative frame reverse. Our offered card is the only graded EX-MT+ with none higher!
