    Description

1909-11 E90-1 American Caramel Napoleon Lajoie PSA EX-MT 6 - Only Two Higher. This member of Cooperstown's second induction class remains one of Cleveland's most beloved baseball figures, so popular in his day that the ball club was named the "Naps" in his honor, only taking on its current "Indians" designation upon his departure in 1915. Amazing to think that in 1901 the first holder of an American League batting title would be a slick-fielding, youngster named Napoleon. Lajoie portrayed his finesse with the lumber by hitting an astounding .426 setting the bar at a level most hitters just dream about. Graded PSA EX-MT 6. One of the best we have seen from a centering, color and portrait standpoint. One of nine graded EX-MT with two rated higher.
