Description

1908/09 Rose Company Sam Crawford SGC 40 VG 3 - The Only SGC and PSA Recorded Example! Among the most graphically appealing baseball postcard issues is the supremely rare Rose Company postcard edition that saw circulation in 1908. While this auction features a selection of the coveted relics none may be more exciting than this card that features HoFer Sam Crawford. While Crawford's name does appear the latest guides there has had yet to be a single example graded by any grading service - until now. A search of the census report of PSA turns up not a single example, this is the first to be recorded by SGC. It is a solid copy with a fresh portrait and deep embossing. Corners show wear and there is a short crease to account for the SGC 40 VG 3 assessment. This may very well be the only opportunity for the Rose Company specialist to acquire Crawford for the foreseeable future.
