    Description

1908-09 Rose Co. Ed Walsh PSA EX 5 - By Far the Highest Graded Example! One of the Dead Ball Era's premier hurlers, was right-hander Ed Walsh who posted an eye-popping forty and fifteen record for the Chicago White Sox in 1908, drawing a bit of attention from the crosstown Cubs who were enjoying what would prove to be their last World Championship season for the century to come. When this card appeared, Ed was in the middle of or was coming off a 40-win 1908 season. One of the premier post card issues of the same year were produced by the Rose Company. The lush green background screamed outfield grass and the gold metallic decoration was a touch of class that may have served as inspiration for the T204 and T205 tobacco card series. Graded PSA EX 5. By default ts is the highest-graded PSA example as it is the only PSA-graded example! The best of the two slabbed SGC cards in a 2.5.
