1907 Detroit Tigers "Our Home Team" Foldout-Style Postcard with Rookie Year Cobb. 1907 marked the first year Ty Cobb was appearing in promotions featuring the Tigers. Many consider these collectibles his rookie debut. Who doesn't love a rarity featuring a championship quality team and dates to the the earliest years of baseball legend Ty Cobb. Offered is a rare 1907 "Our Home Team" foldout postcard featuring the Detroit Tigers. This fragile post card has portraits of pennant winners Cobb, Coughlin, Crawford, Donovan, Downs, Jennings, Jones, Killian, Killefer, McIntyre, Mullin, O'Leary, Payne, Rossman, Schaefer, Schmidt, Suggs, Summers, Thomas, Willet, Winter and the Tigers logo under an embossed flap which has come loose. The card base shows no creases but the player portraits and protective covering display no wear at all. Although not credited, these were produced by the Art Post Card Co. of Detroit. Never used as mail. Overall vg-ex presentation.Guide Value or Estimate: $3,000 - up.
