1904 Allegheny Card Co. Joe McGinnity SGC 40 VG 3 By definition the rarest of all baseball card issues, it is believed that just a single prototype of each player for this boxed card game was ever produced. The game, failing to reach production, consists of over 110 known cards, each featuring a National League player. Discovered in the late 1980's, all known examples have been cut by hand and the set was sold intact in 1995. Since then cards are being auctioned individually. Here we present the one and only example of HoF pitcher Iron Man McGinnity of the New York Giants. Graded SGC 40 VG 3.
