1895 N300 Mayo's Cut Plug Amos Rusie ("Russie") SGC Authentic. From the John Esch Collection. Amos Rusie was so highly-regarded in 1901, that, despite not having pitched for three years, he was traded from the New York Giants to the Cincinnati Reds for a prospect from Pennsylvania named Christy Mathewson. Rusie wouldn't win a single game for the Reds; Mathewson would win 372 games for the Giants. One of the great card errors of all time, his N300 card was captioned "Russie," before it was later corrected. This "Russie" example. Encapsulated SGC Authentic.

Guide Value or Estimate: $1,000 - up.
