1895 N300 Mayo Cut Plug Ed Delahanty SGC 50 VG-EX 4 - Pop Two, One Higher. "Big" Ed Delahanty is one of the most famous baseball stars of the 19th Century not only for his accomplishments on the field but for his personal life off the field. Arguably, his accidental death is the most bizarre manner of death of any Major Leaguer in history - swept to his death over the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. This card was issued during his glory days in 1895 which was the second of three seasons his batting average topped .400. A reverse wrinkle is the lone fault of note. Graded SGC 50 VG-EX 4. From a total pop of just thirty examples. This is one of only two cards graded VG-EX. Only one has rated higher!Auction Info
